ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the National Assembly will be held today to discuss the no-confidence motion tabled by the joint opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The National Assembly will convene at 4 pm in the Parliament House. The 24-point agenda of today’s National Assembly session has been released. The no-confidence motion is fourth on the agenda.
Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif will launch a debate on the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister. It should be noted that the no-confidence motion against the prime minister was tabled on March 28.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, while presenting the motion, had said that he was presenting a no-confidence motion against the prime minister. The motion was moved under Article A-95 of the Constitution and was signed by 161 members.
It may be recalled that after the split of the coalition party Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, the government has lost its numerical majority in the National Assembly.
According to the announcements of the parties joining the opposition alliance, the current position shows that the opposition alliance now has the support of 176 members in the National Assembly without the angry members of PTI.
