For the past two and a half years, the incumbent PTI government has completely deviated from its election manifesto 2018 and all segments of the society have been deprived of basic facilities. Every month the government is increasing the prices of gas, electricity and petroleum products which further increases inflation.
Nowadays 14 hours of gas load shedding is taking place across the country and this is the first time in the history of Pakistan that the domestic consumers have been deprived of the gas. There is also a plan to destroy the country’s economy by buying LNG at a much higher price.
Industrialists have been forced to close mills due to rising prices of electricity, gas and petroleum products, leading to a worrying rise in the unemployment rate of workers. But the prime minister and his economic team are busy misleading the people.
Today every other country is progressing except Pakistan which has fallen behind. International community isn’t taking Pakistan seriously. The opposition has been compelled to send a message of neutrality to the Establishment for the protection of democracy and democratic institutions.
In such a situation, the PDM has no choice but to bring a no-confidence motion, which was recommended by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), against Prime Minister Imran Khan. There are reports that Mian Nawaz Sharif has also supported the PPP’s proposal. The PML-N is also ready to contest the by-elections and the Senate elections.
Zulfiqar Qaimkhani, Deputy General Secretary, PPP Karachi Division has asserted that the only way to restore and strengthen democracy and democratic institutions is to use the Assembly Forum and lacks should be met to bring a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister.
The allies of the government will have to stand by the people instead of the government. The PDM parties, including the PML-N, will have to intensify contacts with the PTI’s pro-people, and their concerns should be heard to save the country’s institutions and people from the incompetent Prime Minister.
The establishment must be compelled to remain neutral and the reservations of the establishment must be removed. The PMD can complete its anti-government mission by adopting the strategy of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.
The no-confidence motion should be started from Punjab. Numerical targets for the no-confidence motion will also be easily achieved and Imran Khan will also be sacked a week after the departure of the Punjab Chief Minister. Assemblies will be safe and democratic institutions will continue to function normally. The country will also come out of the crisis and the people will be able to get rid of a painful era.
