Nine-year-old boy kills aunt over freewill marriage in Sargodha

SARGODHA: A nine-year-old boy shot dead his aunt, who had married of her own choice ten years ago even before his birth, in a village near Sargodha.

The victim, Kanwal Fardeen, had come to meet her relatives after she was invited on the birth of a child at her uncle’s house.

Both sides reconciled after ten years over her marriage issue. As she reached the home of her relatives, her nephew opened fire on her, leaving the woman dead.

Police said a plot was hatched to trap the woman, who was the mother of three children. Investigation teams have been set up to arrest the suspects who supposedly trained the child to shot his aunt.

Police have arrested the nine-year-old accused handed him into the custody of his father. Police said that the young child was provoked to commit the killing of his aunt.
