ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has said that the next election results in the whole country will be similar to those of Peshawar.
He said that molvis are not narrow-minded but broad-minded, the religous scholar should come forward to change the system of the country.
Addressing the function, Fazlur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), said that it was the responsibility of Muslim rulers to protect Islamic sciences and our rulers wanted to abolish madrassas.
He said that instead of protecting the sciences of Hadith and Fiqh, the rulers want to make them ineffective.
“You can never destroy madrassas,” he said. They say they want to bring madrassas into the national mainstream. We are not out of the national mainstream. Bring yourself into the Islamic mainstream, he added.

He said that molvis are accused of being narrow-minded, but they are not. He said that even today the blood on the walls of prisons bars witness American atrocities.
Fazlur Rehman said that we are democrats and we are talking about positive politics, we are talking about peaceful politics, constitution and stable Pakistan.
