Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari clarified that he did not receive an invitation to attend the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump. However, he confirmed his plans to attend a breakfast event hosted by President Trump.
Speaking to the media after meeting Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani in Islamabad on Friday, Bilawal addressed questions regarding his absence from the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected U.S. president. Responding to the queries, he said, “The news about attending the inauguration was reported by the media. You should ask them.”
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was invited to President Trump’s inauguration on January 20 in a personal capacity.
