ISLAMABAD: Accountability court has issued a summon notice by an advertisement of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over continuous absence in courts in a case related to Toshakhana reference.
The accountability court has given him the last chance to appear and respond in Toshakhana reference till 17th August. On the other hand, the arrest warrant of former president Asif Ali Zardari has been sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The arrest warrant has been issued against Rs. 50,000 indemnity bonds. The warrant states that if Asif Zardari does not appear, he should be arrest and be presented before the court.
In the previous hearing, the court had issued a bailable arrest warrant against Zardari in the Toshakhana case. Zardari’s lawyer, Farooq H.Naek had given a statement in court that his plaintiff will appear before the court in the next hearing.
