LAHORE: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) presented their early warning system over the possibility of storms and heavy rains in Punjab from Thursday to Saturday.
Referring to the National Weather Forecasting Centre, the NDMA issued a notification to the Punjab Disaster Manage Authority and another concerned department to take up precautionary steps to avoid the loss of life and property in the province.
The NDMA stated that a westerly weather system is expected to enter upper parts of the country from Thursday evening and probably to persist till Saturday evening.
Westerly weather system would cause Wind, a thunderstorm with rain in Rawalpindi, Mianwali, Khushab, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Sargodha, Jhang, Sahiwal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat and Sialkot.
NDMA had requested all concerned departments to take essential precautionary steps in areas to avoid any loss of life and damage to public property.
