ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the opposition must stop risking the lives of the nationals while pursuing its personal gains.
Shibli Faraz took to Twitter and wrote that the nation is rejecting the opposition’s rallies. The leadership of the opposition parties showed an irresponsible attitude during the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 in the country.

The opposition must stop risking the lives of the nationals while pursuing its personal gains. The statement came after Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was denied permission by district authorities in Multan for holding a public gathering in the city on Monday.
Moreover, a ban on large gatherings has been implemented in Multan. The permission for the public meeting will be a violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to tackle the coronavirus pandemic” the DC said while responding to the request.
A rally of the PDM is scheduled in Multan on Monday, while the country is consistently reporting a surge in coronavirus cases. Around 54 deaths and 3,313 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Moreover, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently tested positive for the coronavirus. In a tweet, he confirmed the news that he felt mild symptoms. “I have tested positive for #COVIDー19 & am self-isolating with mild symptoms.”
