ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the security arrangements from D Chowk to Shaheed-e-Millat Chowk.
He visited D Chowk and met the armed forces while protestors continued to throw tear gas shells.
Interior Minister boosted the morale of the soldiers and directed them to confront the miscreants with courage. He shook hands with the soldiers of Rangers, Frontier Constabulary (FC), and Islamabad and Sindh Police forces, one by one and appreciated their spirit.
The soldiers on duty raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. “You are all soldiers of Pakistan,” Naqvi said, adding, “You have to deal with the troublemakers according to the law”.
Islamabad Police Inspector General, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and other officials were also present with the interior minister.
Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi told media that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protestors are armed with tear gas shells and they are attacking the forces. He said that one shell of tear gas costs Rs4,500 and that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government provided tear gas shells to the protestors.
