DUBAI: A team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for last couple of days in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Toshakhana case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

According to reports circulated by media outlets which are believed to be aligned with the current ruling coalition government, a four-member NAB team is headed by Director Rizwan Ahmed and is currently in Dubai for last four days to collect information about sale of the precious watch which was received by Khan as state gift from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Reports suggested that the NAB team also visited Umar Farooq, who had claimed on a TV show to buy the watch, Pakistani embassy in UAE and some shops in Dubai as part of their ongoing investigation.
In December last year, Khan announced that his lawyers had filed defamation case against Geo TV, its anchor Shahzeb Khanzada and a UAE-based dubious figure Umar Farooq Zahoor who was brought on-air to level allegations regarding Toshakhana gifts.

On November 19, the NAB had taken notice of the alleged non-disclosure of the actual value of gifts received by the former prime minister, his wife, and other cabinet members.
