The Mustafa Amir murder case has taken a dramatic turn as investigators have revealed an international drug trafficking and money laundering network linked to the victim and his associates.
This new development fueled by explosive revelations from Sahir Hasan, the son of famous actor Sajid Hasan, who is currently in custody and being interrogated.
Initially, the case focused on Mustafa Amir’s murder, but it took an unexpected twist when the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) uncovered connections to a global drug trade. Authorities are now examining a sophisticated drug smuggling operation that allegedly utilized Karachi Airport and local courier services to distribute narcotics across the city.
Revelations by Sahir Hasan
Sahir Hasan is presently on physical remand for his involvement in the Mustafa Amir murder case. He was apprehended by police during a crackdown on the drug trade following the murder in Karachi.
According to media reports, Sahir Hasan disclosed the names of prominent businessmen, politicians, and other individuals involved in the drug trade.
The suspect allegedly admitted to transferring drug payments online through his father Sajid’s manager’s bank account. He revealed that he had been modeling for five years and addicted to weed for 13 years.
Sahir Hasan confessed that he had been selling weed for two years and managed the entire drug business through Snapchat. He sourced narcotics from individuals named Bazil and Yahya and smuggled drugs worth millions using courier companies, according to the police investigation report.
The suspect disclosed that he paid between Rs400,000 to 500,000 weekly and procured over a kilogram of weed twice a month. He admitted to selling one gram of weed for Rs10,000 and using a digital scale for measurements.
Moreover, Sahir Hasan has provided the police with the names of more than 12 clients connected to the drug trade.
Courier Companies Alleged Involvement
Investigators have also found evidence that courier companies played a role in delivering drugs directly to customers, raising concerns about the depth of the network’s operations. Authorities are now probing whether employees within law enforcement agencies facilitated or ignored these illegal activities.
With Karachi Airport allegedly being used as a key transit hub for drug transportation, officials are conducting thorough investigations to identify individuals who may have assisted in the smuggling operations.
