NANKANA SAHIB: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we have to make Pakistan a successful state as Riyasat-e-Madinah.
While addressing the gathering at the foundation stone ceremony of Baba Guru Nanak University, the prime minister said:
“The reason why I always give an example of Riyasat-e-Medina is that that state was established on the models of principles and justice.”
He added, “Societies cannot progress if there are different laws for the elite and other people.”

The prime minister made the comments on Nawaz Sharif’s health while addressing the ceremony that they provided the best medical care facilities to Nawaz Sharif.
The prime minister said that the court asked the federal and provincial governments to guarantee Nawaz Sharif’s life.

He said, “We cannot give a guarantee anyone’s life. I even asked Shaukat Khanum’s Chief Executive, who is one of the best doctors in the country, to give a medical check-up to Nawaz Sharif. We can only try our best as life and death is in the hands of Allah.”
Talking about the university, he said that Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary has been honored by the establishment of a university in his name.

He said, “No society has ever progressed without education. Unfortunately, leaders in Pakistan have never given education a priority but our government is changing that. We have decided to build universities and hospitals on occupied Aukaf lands.”
Imran Khan added that all religious and spiritual leaders including Data Sahib and Guru Nanak had a mission in their lives and that was to serve humanity.

The prime minister said, “When I am asked that why are we inaugurating Kartarpur Corridor at a time when our relations with India are going through a rough patch, I say that I cannot let that influence me to make people stay away from their religious sites.”
He also commended Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood for taking an initiative to streamline madrassahs.
Imran Khan said, “We need to fix our education system and end this divide. There should be unanimous syllabus across the country.”
