Netflix has revealed the premiere date for its upcoming K-drama series Mr. Plankton, starring Lee Yoo-mi and Woo Do-hwan.
The streaming giant has already had enormous success with its foray into the South Korean entertainment market. Television programs such as Squid Game and Kingdom have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from viewers worldwide.
Earlier, Netflix has released an intriguing teaser ahead of the eagerly awaited premiere, giving fans a look at their on-screen chemistry. In the teaser, a happy romance blossoms between the two as they go through misfortune together and turn to one another for comfort.
Plot
The next Netflix K-drama rom-com, directed by Hong Jong Chan, centers on the final days of a man named Hae-jo, who is on a mission to find his biological father. Jae-mi, who is referred to as the world’s unluckiest woman, is with him. Jae-mi herself embarks on the search for Hae-jo’s father with him the morning of her wedding to another man named Eo Heung.
Cast
In Mr. Plankton, Lee Yoo Mi will portray Jae Mi, and Woo Do Hwan will take the role of Hae Jo. Oh Jung Se, Kim Hae Sook, Lee El, Kim Min Seok, Kim Chan Hyung, and other gifted performers will also feature in important parts in the romantic comedy. Hong Jong Chan directed the series, which received praise for its dramatic elements in Doctor Stranger, Her Private Life, and Juvenile Justice.
Release Date
The new show will debut exclusively internationally on Netflix on on November 8.
