KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) filed an application the in Sindh High Court on Saturday against Sindh Local Government Board.
According to details, MQM-P has filed a constitutional petition in the Sindh High Court against the unwarranted interference of the Sindh Local Government Board in local bodies of Karachi and the transfer of employees of local councils of other districts.
In this regard, MQM leader, former Nazim Liaquatabad Town and Member Assembly Osama Qadri said “Unrelated and incompetent persons are being appointed in the local councils.”
He said only local people should be deployed in the district local bodies. However, people from other districts are being deployed in the department after receiving enormous bribes.
Qadri said that under the guise of biased policies and the so-called 18th amendment, the Sindh government looted people of the province
He added these tactics and illegal practices of the Sindh government have provoked the people of Karachi and Hyderabad and they are also disappointed with the PPP government.
He said, “There is the law of jungle in Sindh. The PPP is using the Sindh Assembly for its vested interests, but we will not allow it. He said the PPP is trying to make laws to save its people but we will go to court against this”.
The MQM leader alleged that the corrupt officers are enjoying postings in Sindh and many of them are posted here for a period of more than 10 years.
He said the PPP government in Sindh is patronizing and promoting corrupt officers and these black sheep have made life miserable for the poor people of Sindh. These corrupt officers should be shown the door now, he added.
“We no longer have any hope from a racist government, so we have filed a constitutional petition in the Sindh High Court for the rights of Karachi’s local government employees,” he said.
