KARACHI: Dr Essa Laboratory and Rotary Club Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide free education and technical training to the blind people.
Under the agreement, the forum would provide free education to the blind people of Karachi, while Dr Essa Laboratory would conduct medical tests of the blind people for half the fee.
The ceremony was attended by President Rotary Club Karachi Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, Dr Farhan Essa, Junaid-ur-Rehman, Shazia Matin, and other members of the Rotary Club.
According to a joint statement, Essa Laboratory would also pay the six months salary and training course expenses of the teachers who teach the visually impaired students.
On the occasion, Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue President Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain said that the Rotary Club has worked tirelessly under the leadership of District Governor Dr Farhan Essa.
Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain further informed that Rotary Club Karachi Avenue also distributed rations worth more than Rs. 180 million in rural areas of Sindh.
