LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has announced a reward of Rs.5 million for the police team that arrested suspect Abid Ali Malhi, the main suspect in the motorway rape case.
Usman Buzdar said that the main accused in the motorway rape incident has been arrested and congratulated the IG Punjab on the arrest of the accused. On the other hand, IG Punjab Inam Ghani while giving details about the arrest of Abid Ali Malhi said that nine teams were formed for the arrest of Malhi.
He said that Abid Malhi kept changing places to avoid arrest. He went to different districts including Fort Abbas, Chiniot, Manga Mandi. Meanwhile, Abid Malhi’s colleague Bala Mastri had informed him that the picture was playing on TV which delayed the arrest of the accused.

The IG Punjab said that Abid Malhi had been hiding in a landlord’s camp in Chiniot for several days but Malhi was traced with the help of his mobile number. He said that the accused had used his mobile phone and thrown it away.
