More heavy rain expected again in Karachi today

KARACHI: The ongoing rains across Sindh, including Karachi, have created an emergency situation in the province as the rain is continuing pouring.

According to the details, the Meteorological Department predicted that there is a possibility of more rain in Karachi today, while it may rain up to 200 mm across Sindh.

It should be noted that the Sindh government has announced a public holiday in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions today.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that government institutions and corporations will remain closed today. He directed that private sector offices should also be closed due to heavy rains.

Apart from this, the cabinet division of the Faki government also issued a holiday notification due to rains. On the other hand, Pakistan Army troops have reached the rain-affected areas in Karachi and are engaged in relief activities with the civil administration.
