The Heavy rains have claimed the lives of 173 people and injured 260 people across the country since June, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in a report stated that 69 men, 32 women and 72 children were died in rain-related incidents.
The highest number of deaths, totaling 67, occurred in Punjab, followed by 47 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 in Balochistan, 21 in Sindh, 12 in Azad Kashmir, and five in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Additionally, 260 people were injured nationwide due to the heavy rains, with 158 of them in Punjab.
The NDMA report also indicated that a total of 1,485 houses were damaged, and 475 cattle were washed away in the recent rains and floods. The victims included 32 women and 72 children, while the injured comprised 110 men, 76 women, and 74 children.
