PADDIDAN: A missing Hindu youth was found dead from Nusrat Canal near Paddidan Naushahro Feroze District.
According to police, the villagers saw the body of the youth floating in the canal near the village Belawah and pulled it out. They later informed police about the body recovery, police added.
The victim’s family said a 20-year-old Jokhan went missing five-days back and they were in his search but unfortunately, they had got his body.
Paddidan police shifted the body to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. Police said further investigation into the incident was underway.
Police said that the actual cause of the death would be ascertained after the announcement of an autopsy report.
The parents of the victim alleged that their son had been murdered and has urged the country’s authorities and police to help in the identification of the accused involved in the murder and bring the culprits to justice.
Separately, in Sargohdha three people including a woman were killed in separate incidents of family quarrels in Sahiwal and Shahpur areas on Tuesday.
Police sources said that Omar Hayat, aged 50 a resident of Tehsil Sahiwal, axed to death over marriage dispute.
In another incident, Asghar Hussain of village Yousaf Shah has allegedly shot dead by his cousin Waqar Waheed over business affairs. Police have registered separate cases against the accused and started probe to the murders.
