Embarking on a remarkable journey from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to becoming a source of pride for Pakistan, Areej Chaudhary, crowned Miss Pakistan World, is leaving an indelible mark in the realms of beauty, modeling, and acting. Her story exemplifies the belief that success is the fruit of unwavering dedication to one’s dreams.
Areej, born on May 7, 1997, commenced her educational pursuits in Jeddah at Springhill International School before returning to Pakistan to complete her O Levels at Bloomfield Hall School. Choosing to delve into Psychology at Comsats University in Lahore, she found her entry into the modeling world when photographers and the fashion industry began to recognize her potential. Despite her budding modeling career, Areej remained committed to completing her education.
Hailing from a family deeply involved in business, Areej’s father owns translation companies in Dubai, UAE, and Qatar. The youngest among her siblings, she has two elder brothers, Shah Hassan Chaudhary and Muhammad Hussain Chaudhary, and a sister, a designer married in Multan, Pakistan.
Residing in Islamabad’s Bani Gala area, Areej balanced her projects in Lahore. Her discovery of the Miss Pakistan World pageant, the first of its kind in Lahore, led her to apply. Reflecting on her journey, Areej shared, “I never anticipated winning the title. Tired of Covid-19 news, I applied, completed a professional pageant shoot in July 2020, and on August 25, 2020, the Miss Pakistan World Organization declared me the winner, making headlines as the first Miss Pakistan World chosen from Pakistani soil.”
With her striking looks, attributed to her Kashmiri heritage, Areej represented Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2020 pageant, Miss Global 2022, and Miss Eco International 2022. Being the first contender at the Miss Global 2022 pageant, she aspires to participate in more international pageants in the upcoming year.
Post-studies and successful pageant endeavors, Areej transitioned to Karachi to pursue her acting career. Her debut drama “Maahi” on LTN Channel marked the beginning of her acting journey, followed by several notable projects. Simultaneously, she made strides in the film industry, completing four movies by 2023, with upcoming releases in 2024.
Areej, a trained shooter and an advocate for animal welfare, serves as the ambassador for Lahore’s JFK Animal Shelter. Her commitment extends to bringing joy to cancer patients in hospitals, contributing time to institutions like the Indus Hospital in Karachi and the Sundus Foundation in Lahore.
