LAHORE: An accountability court has approved an exemption plea of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and granted him immunity for 14 days in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Accountability judge Chaudhry Ameer Mohammad Khan conducted the hearing of the same case today where advocate Amjad Pervez on behalf of Nawaz Sharif as he has been undergoing treatment abroad.
The judge in his ruling ordered the lawyer to submit a medical report of Sharif on 17th January.
Nawaz Sharif who has been staying in London for his medical treatment, earlier on 24th December 2019 appealed to the Home Department Punjab to extend his bail period in the Al-Azizia case which was granted to him on medical grounds.
