LONDON: Former world champion Mike Tyson has recently announced that he will return for a charity exhibition match.
Mike Tyson, 57, has been offered $1million to make a comeback in the ring for a charity match which he denied laster of taking any money.
He has since worked himself into great shape and now received his first approach. The potential opponents of Mike Tyson are Barry Hall, Paul Gallen, and Sonny Bill Williams, all famous names in Australian rules football or rugby league who have previously crossed over for boxing matches.
According to the promoter of the match, the fight is expected to take place in Melbourne Arena where they can get people in huge numbers.
Last month, Tyson told rapper T.I. that he was getting back into fighting shape to participate in some charity matches, so the chances that this piques the retired boxer’s interest aren’t bad. Tyson’s trainer even said that Iron Mike still has the power and speed of a 21-year-old. Needless to say, no matter who the 53-year-old ends up fighting, Tyson seems like the safer bet.
