The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the weather in Karachi.
The Meteorological Department has warned that a heatwave has begun in Karachi from today, due to which citizens will have to face extreme heat and humidity. The weather will not only be hot but also humid, and citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
According to the Met Office, the current temperature of the city has been recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, while the humidity in the air is 56 percent, which is leading to an increase in the intensity of the humidity.
The Met Office said that, the temperature can go up to 37 to 39 degrees Celsius during the day, during which the wind speed is likely to increase to 30 to 35 kilometers per hour, while the wind is currently blowing at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour.
The public has been asked not to leave their homes unnecessarily, avoid traveling in the sun, consume more water, and take other measures to protect themselves from the heat.
