KARACHI: ‘Mere Pass Tum Ho’ has taken the internet by storm. It has kept the audience hooked to their TV screens.
Mere Paas Tum Ho is a Pakistani romantic-drama television series. It features Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui and Ayeza Khan in lead roles. In the latest episode, the most-awaited character of Shehwar Ahmed’s wife made her grand entrance. Sawera Nadeem as Maham slapped Ayeza Khan and it became the slap of the century.
Earlier the drama serial “Mere Pass Tum Ho” was focused entirely on Shehwar and Mehwish’s downfall. Finally we have a righteous and strong woman on screen. It was also good to see Shehwar getting punished as well since most often in such situations men are forgiven.

Even though the recent episode wasn’t intense enough but this was another episode of “Mere Pass Tum Ho” which left the viewers wondering what turn the story will take from here. The best part of this episode was the way Danish’s scenes were covered.
The kind of confusion the writer willfully created by showing these scenes is going to be the number one reason why people will watch the next episode. In short, the opening scene of tonight’s episode was perfect.
Mehwish and Rumi’s scene was emotional but watching Mehwish change completely within a few hours was difficult to relate to. Moreover, Danish finally told Hania that the person she was advocating for was actually her! The change in Hania’s attitude after that was quite evident. She distanced herself from Rumi a little and kept her conversations with him short.
In a recent interview, Sawera Nadeem for the very first time, talked about her entry as Maham and discussed the whole slap scene in detail.
“I don’t believe in fake slaps nor I take fake slaps or give fake slaps, this is the only way I know how to act. I have worked in theatre for so long but I can’t fake act on fake slaps. Nowadays, in plays, it is not allowed to slap a woman.”
Sawera Nadeem shared that it was a real slap and said, “I think there is no such rule about for women hitting women. So I was quite realistic about it and Ayeza Khan being a professional was too.I told her that I will slap you in real so your expressions can be more real. She was all for it, but they didn’t want to make it over-dramatic and we took two-three shots from different angles so that Ayeza’s reaction can be recorded.”
