A 14-year-old talented student of Aga Khan School Kharadar, Karachi, Quratul Aal has a unique identity in artwork like her unique name and has emerged as a rising star in various fields of art including Arabic calligraphy.
MM News team meets the talented young artist to discover his passion for art and her journey in this field. Quratul Aal said that he got interested in artwork from a very young age through his father’s efforts and gradually this interest led him to become expert in it.
Quratul Aal said that she is more interested in Quranic and Arabic calligraphy, apart from calligraphy, she also draw scenes and portraits.
She said that her parents have the main role in developing this hobby, her father has been providing her calligraphy samples and materials using in calligraphy. Apart from this, her mother also supports her in all ways to develop her hobby and encourages her whenever she makes a masterpiece.
Quratul Aal told MM News a very interesting thing that till date she has not received art and calligraphy training from any institution or teacher. She said that she has become master in this art through her immense passion and constant practice. She said this surprising thing that she learned this art by herself. Thus, Quratul Aal is one such emerging artist of Pakistan who is completely self-taught.
Qaratul Al’s artwork is currently known only to her school. She said that her work is highly appreciated in the school, whenever there is a function or important persons from outside come to visit, the teachers show them her art work and everyone appreciate it.
