Measles outbreak in Gambat tehsil of Khairpur district of Sindh has claimed lives of five children of the same family, while many other children in the area are in critical condition.
As per media report, the death occurred in the village Nihal Mishouri where five children belonging to the same family fell victim to measles. Apart from this, 15 more children have also been diagnosed with measles.
According to the doctors, the measles epidemic is spreading rapidly, and the lives of more children are at risk.
If medical staff are not sent to the affected villages soon, the situation may become more serious, and the lives of more children may be at risk.
The parents of the affected children are unhappy with the negligence and lack of seriousness of the health department, and they have demanded immediate provision of medical facilities.
According to the report, measles cases are increasing in Gambat, and urgent measures are needed to stop the spread of the epidemic.
