ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari has met European Union Special Representative on Human Rights Mr Gilmore in Geneva.
During the meeting, the federal minister raised her concerns over violations of Human rights in Indian Occupied Kashmir. She also highlighted abuse of human rights of Muslims in India.
Mazari also talked about the issue of Islamophobia in the European Union. Both sides agreed to cooperate on human rights issue.
This bilateral meeting was held during 43rd session of United Nations Human Rights Council which commenced today in the Swiss city of Geneva. Federal Minister of Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari is representing Pakistan at the session.
In a separate meeting, Minister Shireen Mazari met Brazilian Minister for Women, Family and Human Rights Damares Alves.
They discussed the issue of child abuse including child pornography. She highlighted efforts to establish child protection centres and a national sex offenders registry in Pakistan.
