The government has raised the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs7.31 per kilogram, a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) stated.
With this increase, the new price of LPG for October has been set at Rs251.30 per kilogram. Consequently, the cost of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has gone up by Rs86, reaching Rs2,965 per cylinder.
This price revision is part of the government’s regular monthly review of energy prices, reflecting the ongoing rise in LPG costs that continues to burden households nationwide.
On the other hand, the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan have been further reduced. The government on Monday reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.70 per liter and diesel by Rs3.40 per liter.
The revised prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) following the reduction are now Rs247.30 and Rs246.29, respectively.
Additionally, the light diesel price saw a reduction of Rs1.03 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs140.90 per liter. Kerosene prices also decreased by Rs3.57 per liter, reducing its cost to Rs154.90, down from Rs158.47.
