LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz has praised former Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah for courageously facing the challenges against him.
The PML-N member of the National Assembly reportedly called on the Maryam Nawaz at their family residence in Jati Umra area of Raiwind. The meeting came days after Sanaullah was released from jail in the drug smuggling case.
Maryam also praised Sanaullah’s family for remaining steadfast in these circumstances, saying that he was implicated in false cases. While paying tribute to Rana Sanaullah for facing the assertions, Maryam Nawaz said, “Nation knows that cases on PML-N were made by the incumbent government to take political revenge.”
Sanaullah told Maryam that he has always supported Nawaz Sharif and would continue to do so. Sanaullah was released on 26th December from the prison after the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted him bail in the narcotics case.
DG Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) during a briefing to the federal cabinet has earlier claimed that the assets of Sanaullah are worth Rs25 to Rs30 billion.
