Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Hammad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, met to discuss the promotion of economic cooperation. The discussion also highlighted prominent development programs and tourism initiatives in Punjab.
According to a report by Pak Observer on Tuesday, the Minister holds a proposal, which is welcome, for another working group between Punjab and the UAE for it to develop higher cooperation between the two areas.
UAE investors were invited to explore opportunities in Punjab, with assurances of special incentives and the establishment of a business-friendly environment. Maryam Nawaz Sharif thanked the UAE for being a partner in Pakistan’s assets and contributions to socio-economic development, with infrastructure, health, education, and energy at core.
Pakistan-UAE relations are founded on mutual trust and respect and share a vision for stable, prosperous regional development. Ambassador Hammad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi congratulated the Chief Minister on her fruitful visit to China and praised her efforts in development projects and climate change initiatives.
He reiterated that the UAE was there to support Pakistan along its development journey and was keen on doing more together. Further, he applauded the Punjab government’s commitment to sustainable development via public-private partnerships.
