LAHORE: The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz met in Jati Umra.
The meeting between the Australian envoy and Maryam Nawaz was shared on social media platform X where they discussed focussed issues related to climate change.

The meeting also focused on the need for policies aimed at mitigating the adverse impacts of climate change.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of collective action to safeguard the environment for future generations.
During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed strategies to modernize technologies such as mechanization and digitalisation in Pakistan’s agricultural sector and recognized the crucial role agriculture played in the livelihoods of most Pakistanis.
Maryam Nawaz and the Australian envoy also explored avenues to foster an inclusive environment for Pakistani women. The two discussed the significance of gender equality in addressing climate challenges effectively.
