Maryam demands Imran to tell nation about his performance

SAWABI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday demanded former Prime Minister Imran Khan to stop acting and tell the nation what he has done in four years.

Addressing a PML-N rally in Swabi she further said that the nation should be thankful that Pakistan got rid of the “corrupt and lying” leaders.

 She said that Imran Khan has lost his senses after the ending of his government which is why he is criticizing the state’s institutes.

 “He [Imran Khan] has been criticizing state institutes and media which he used to say ‘we’re on the same page’ until he was in power,” Maryam said.

The PML-N vice president said Khan has nothing in his bag to talk about in his public speeches after remaining three years in power.

 “Conspiracy is just an excuse to hide his performance as he has not a single project to talk about in rallies,” she added.

The PML-N leader said that anyone whose report card was devoid of performance needed a conspiracy and fake letter. Imran Khan was not ousted by Nawaz Sharif or any foreign conspiracy but he was ousted by his own PTI MNAs and MPAs, she added.

Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan should stop acting and crying. “He needs to tell what he has done in four years. Imran Khan used to swing in a helicopter for four years. He continued to feed Bani Gala at government expense”, she said.

She said that if Imran Khan tried to hide his incompetence behind the conspiracy, then 22 crore people of the country would not leave him.

The PML-N leader said that the PTI government left the economy in the doldrums and only did lip service when it comes to providing relief to the masses.

“When we (PML-N) were in opposition, we used to think that the economy is in ICU but as we took over, we came to know that the condition is much worse and this incompetent man (Imran Khan) left it on a ventilator,” said Maryam.   

She maintained that it would at least take two years to bring the economy back on track after the “destruction” Imran Khan and his friends brought upon the country.

The PML-N leader urged the people of Swabi to vote for her party in the next elections so that “KP should also get rid of Imran Khan”.
