Marriyum asks Imran Khan to voluntarily present himself before law

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has declared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan s statements “blatant lies and hypocrisy”.

Marriyum Aurangzeb asked Imran Khan to voluntarily present himself before the law along with his wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi for their corruption if he truly believed in rule of law.

She, in a news statement, said Imran Khan uttered sacred names with the same tongue which he used for lying, slandering and accusing others.

Marriyum said Imran Khan’s demeanour in his today’s speech suggested that the “foreign agent” and “Fitna” (Imran) had seen the latest interview of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif before addressing the gathering.

Earlier, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that such amendments have been introduced lately in accountability laws that have rendered them toothless, unable to nab the powerful ones.

Addressing workers during their oath-taking ceremony here on Monday, Imran Khan asked as to where from the flats worth billions were purchased in a premier location in London [by Nawaz and family]. He said he was held accountable for every single penny he earned from cricket. “If a cricketer can be held accountable, why can’t a three-time prime minister face accountability”, he asked.
