RAWALPINDI: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that the person who gained victory on the war front for the country was declared traitor.
While addressing an event in Rawalpindi today, verdict over former president Pervez Musharraf has built differences among state institutes.
Sheikh Rasheed said that those who looted the national treasury were away from the range of accountability, whereas, the person who gained victory on the war front for the country was declared traitor.
The railway minister said that the verdict of the special court against Pervez Musharraf in yesterday’s judgment would increase the distance between the institutions.
He added that in this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee meeting in the evening today over the political situation in the country.
The senior party leaders, including Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, have been called for the meeting.
The political situation overall will also be discussed during the meeting. The prime minister who is currently in Geneva will not attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit being held from today to 21st December.
