A special anti-terrorism court in Peshawar has sentenced a man to death after finding him guilty of blasphemy.
According to the prosecution, the accused Khalid Sukna Bannu shared derogatory content on social media which went viral, after which the Counter-Terrorism Wing of the FIA took action and detained the accused from Bannu.
The FIA completed the investigation from the accused and submitted the challan to the local court, it should be noted that the incident took place last year.
According to the media, after the challan was collected, the trial against the accused began in Central Jail Peshawar and during this time the statement of all the witnesses and the accused was recorded.
After completing the arguments of the lawyers, the court pronounced the verdict and sentenced the accused to life imprisonment in one case and to death under the blasphemy section.
