RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested a man who was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Walwal village of Rawalpindi.
Within the limits of Chontra police station, the accused was arrested after 12 hours of the incident. The accused named Khawar Alias Mitho, a resident of Mandowal village raped a 14-year-old girl yesterday and later ran away.
When the victim’s father registered a case in the concerned police station, the police immediately took the victim for medical treatment and registered a case under section 376 against the accused.
After an FIR, the police raided various places in Mandowal village to arrest the accused but they failed to find him. Meanwhile, he was arrested from Lahore Motorway this morning. The police traced the accused through his mobile phone.
