Renowned actress Mahira Khan is the latest celebrity to have tested positive for COVID-19.
The actress announced on Sunday on social media that she has contracted the virus. She reassured everyone that she had informed those who had been in close contact with her.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. I’m isolating and I have also informed all those who were in close contact with me over the last few days,” she said in her latest post on Instagram.
“It’s been rough but it will be okay soon. InshaAllah.” she continued. “Please, please wear a mask and follow all other SOPs for your sake and others,” she urged.
“Prayers and movie recommendations are more than welcome,” she added.

Mahira has recently wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming film ‘Neelofar’ with Fawad Khan, in Lahore. She shared the pictures from the shoot in an Instagram post four days ago, showering praise on the cast and the crew and also sharing that she has left a piece of her soul with them.
‘Neelofar’ marks Mahira’s third screen outing with Fawad after the 2012 blockbuster drama ‘Humsafar’ and the unreleased ambitious film, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’.
Recently, veteran actor Behroze Sabzwari had tested positive for the coronavirus and was hospitalised but went on to make a full recovery.
Other celebrities who have tested positive include Neelum Muneer, Saheefa Jabbar, Ameer Gillani and Usman Mukhtar. They have recovered but some are still in isolation.
