Actress Mahira Khan has been honoured as Cultural Ambassador of the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP).
Organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi in its Auditorium-I, Khan was honoured for her achievements by the ACP President Muhammad Ahmad Shah here.
The council organised An Evening with Mahira Khan, which was hosted by famous writer and intellectual Anwar Maqsood.
The evening was full of witty exchanges on politics where The Legend of Maula Jatt actress revealed that among the three political parties, she supports Pathaan (Imran Khan).

While talking about working in Bollywood, she maintained that it was great to work in India as it was her dream to work with actor Shah Rukh Khan. Highlighting how independence is essential, Mahira Khan said that if girls were not financially independent, then they can’t do much.
The Raees actor also highlighted the unchecked spread of false news and information online. “When I look at the news, it’s so difficult to gauge what is true and false,” she said.
Mahira also explained why she stopped using social media and sharing her views bluntly on social media platforms. “There was a time when I wrote extremely emotional rants online and then I stopped. People threaten, and abuse so much on these social media platforms, and many of the insults are addressed to your parents, and children too.”
