The trailer of ‘Madame Web’, Sony Pictures’ action-packed superhero film, has finally been released.
The movie is the first female-led Spider-Man spinoff when it swings into theaters next year in 2024. Madame Web features Dakota Johnson who stars in the titular role, a mutant who has psychic sensory powers that allow her to predict the future of other superheroes in the universe. Her character in the film is the protégé of the original Madame Web, born Cassandra Webb, in the comic books.
Plot
Madame Web is an upcoming superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment.
An official synopsis for the movie implies Madame Web takes place in another universe, separate from the Venom movies, the 2022 supervillain film Morbius, and the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man series.
