SINDH: Sindh police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 118 people over allegedly violating lockdown orders across Sindh province during 24 hours.
According to a spokesman for Sindh police, at least 35 people were arrested for violating lockdown orders from different parts of the metropolis.
Those were arrested in Karachi, including 07 people from the South zone, 12 from East zone while, 16 were nabbed from West zones of the city. A total 19 FIRs were registered against the arrested people, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, 83 people were apprehended by police from different parts of Sindh, including 10 people from Hyderabad, 06 person from Mirpurkhas, 45 from Sukkur and 22 people were arrested from Larkana over the lockdown violation, while a total 35 FIRs were registered against the detainees.
On Friday, Sindh police had apprehended 124 people over allegedly violating lockdown orders across the province.
Those were arrested in Karachi including 09 people from the South zone, 17 from East zone while 07 were nabbed from West zones of the metropolis. A total 12 FIRs had registered against the arrested people.
While, 91 people were detained by police from different parts of Sindh, whereas a total 34 cases had registered against the detainees.
Earlier, the Sindh government had imposed a complete ban on public movement, social and religious gatherings across the province under Sindh Epidemic Diseases Act 2014.
