A security guard of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has been suspended and handed over to police after a video emerged showing him mistreating an elderly woman who had visited the office to correct her electricity bill.
The video quickly went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the Power Division.

FIR was lodged, and the guard was immediately suspended. Departmental proceedings have also been initiated to formally dismiss him from service.
A spokesperson for the Power Division condemned the incident, stating that disrespecting citizens or violating the law will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The spokesperson further issued an apology to the elderly woman, emphasizing that electricity consumers are held in the highest regard.
