Lebanon has imposed a ban on the screening of Disney’s new live-action film Snow White in cinemas, in which Rachel Zegler and Israeli actress Gal Gadot play leading roles.
According to international media, the reason for the ban is the casting of Israeli actress Gal Gadot, who is playing the role of the “Evil Queen” in the film.
The decision was issued by Lebanon’s Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar, following recommendations from the country’s film and media monitoring board. According to local media reports, this move is linked to recent Israeli military operations targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, which have also affected civilians.
This action comes in the context of the current political and military situation in Lebanon, where tensions between Israel and Hezbollah are escalating. It is worth noting that Lebanon has previously imposed bans on artists or content with Israeli backgrounds.
