PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to close all educational institutions across the province for 15 days.
The decision was taken in the emergency meeting of provincial cabinet today (Friday). The meeting was chaired by KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
Adviser to CM KP Ajmal Khan Wazir said that the provincial cabinet has also decided to keep all hostels closed during this time period.
He further said that the decisions were taken to curb the spread of coronavirus which has claimed more than 4,500 lives around the world.
The provincial cabinet also decided that all meetings in festivals and jails will be suspended and social as well as political gathering will also be restricted.
A public gathering of CM KP in swat has also been suspended. Weddings and other events should be reduced.
So far 21 cases have been confirmed in Pakistan in which 15 cases have been reported in Sindh.
