KARACHI: Vice-Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin called on Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood in Karachi to review the progress of the Kamyab Jawan Program at SSUET.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that the federal government has firm resolve to give due status to engineers through different initiates. He also called upon the female engineers to chase their dreams with devotion. The goal of development cannot be got without vibrant participation of the women, he added.
He also assured to support the university by resolving all kinds of issues faced by the varsity. Vice-Chancellor said Centre of Excellence for varsity’s Cyber Security has already been established which is a unique center of its own kind and it will connect students to the new technology.
He said Sir Syed University has been assigned to train 500 students in six technologies for Prime Minister Kamyab Jawan Program. He pointed out that they are planning to establish a boarding university at 200 acres’ land of the university in Education City.
Vice-Chancellor also vowed to work continuously and sincerely for the promotion and success of the institutions that are linked with the name of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology has the privilege of receiving the maximum number of applications and applicants for the above-mentioned program.
Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali, Project Director, Dr. Tahir Fattani, Representatives of other institutions who are associated with the Kamyab Jawan Program were also present on the occasion.
