Kidnapped minor girl recovered in Karachi, suspect arrested

KARACHI: Karachi police on Friday recovered a six-year-old girl from the captivity of the kidnapper, who had taken her away from a house in Karachi’s Surjani Town area.

According to an official in central police office Karachi, the kidnapped girl Sawera daughter of Muhammad Shafique, aged 6, was recovered by Saeedabad police and Surjani Town police stations just after few hours of her kidnapping.

The police also arrested an accused, Javed Mashi son of Hidayet Mashi and recovered one pistol 30-bore with four rounds and one motorcycle from his possession.

Earlier, after receiving a complaint about the incident SSP West constituted a joint team comprising SHOs Saeedabad and Surjani Town Police Stations, for recovery of kidnapped girl Sawera.

Police also registered a case against kidnaper and started further investigation into the matter.

The police officials further stated that the girl was handed over to her mother and all family members and area people expressed their gratitude to the police, the official added.
