His arrest yesterday was termed as abduction by fellow lawyers and PTI leaders.
The handcuffed Hassan Niazi was produced before the Magistrate after which the FIR registered against him was read out.
The FIR states that the accused resisted at a police checkpost and threatened to kill an officer. Investigation officer demanded 7 days of physical remand.

Advocate Ali Bokhari representing Hassaan Niazi opposed the physical remand, and told the Magistrate that his client had been granted pre-arrest bail by Judge Raja Jawad of Anti-Terrorism Court. He requested court to order submitting CCTV footage to prove as to how Niazi was picked up from amongst the lawyers.
Advocate Ali Bokhari alleged that Hassan Niazi was arrested well before the FIR could even be registered, and demanded of the court to order action against relevant Station House Officer (SHO). He also prayed to the court to dismiss the case.
