QUETTA: Hassaan Niazi, the focal person to former premier Imran Khan on legal affairs, is reported to have been re-arrested by local police under section three of Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), hours after getting bail in a an FIR in which he wasn’t even named or mentioned.

Judicial Magistrate III on Saturday rejected five-day physical remand made by the police and approved the bail of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s focal person and his nephew Hassan Niazi, asking him to submit surety bonds of Rs.100,000.

Speaking before the Judicial Magistrate, Hassaan Niazi said his fault was that he was the legal advisor of former Prime Minister and Chairman of PTI Imran Khan.
However, Hassaan Niazi wasn’t released from district jail even after getting bail, and hours later, Quetta Police declared him re-arrested under MPO section 3.
