KARACHI: Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al Arabia Pakistan, the largest federation of seminaries in the country, has announced eminent religious personalities for key positions at the federation.
Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani was elected as the new President of the Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan last month, while Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari was elected as General Secretary. They have now announced the list of personalities for key posts and office-bearers.
According to an announcement, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani has been appointed President of Darul Uloom, Karachi; Maulana Hafiz Fazlur Rehim as Superintendent Ashrafia University Lahore; Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Superintendent of Jamia Maarif Shariah Dera Ismail Khan; Maulana Mufti Mukhtaruddin Shah as Superintendent Zakaria Dar-ul-Emaan, Karburgha Sharif; and Maulana Syed Abdul Sattar Shah, superintendent of Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom Rahimiya Quetta have been nominated as patrons of the Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al Arabia
Four vice presidents have also been announced, including Maulana Anwar-ul-Haq, superintendent of Haqqani University, Akora Khattak; senior vice president, Maulana Obaidullah Khalid, superintendent of Farooqia University, Karachi; Maulana Syed Sulaiman Banuri, superintendent of Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia, Banuri Town, Karachi; and Maulana Saeed Yusuf, superintendent of Darul Uloom Taleemul Quran in Pallandri, Azad Kashmir.
Maulana Mufti Muhammad Tayyab Khazan will be the superintendent of Jamia Islamia Imdadia Faisalabad while the provincial nazims will be Maulana Imdadullah Nazim, Sindh, Maulana Hussain Ahmad Nazim, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Maulana Salahuddin Nazim from Balochistan.
The newly-appointed personalities have a wide circle of devotees and students all over the world and have a profound influence in various circles. The selection of these figures is expected to increase the stability and influence of Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al Arabia and improve the education and examination system of the federation
