Keanu Reeves, known for his portrayal of the skilled assassin John Wick in four films between 2014 and 2023, has downplayed speculation about his return to the iconic franchise.
Although he is set to make a brief appearance in the upcoming spinoff prequel Ballerina, led by Ana de Armas, Reeves has stated there are no plans for another sequel.
Ballerina is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 7.
Fans have remained hopeful about a possible comeback, despite Reeves’s character being killed off in John Wick: Chapter 4.

Addressing the rumors in an interview with Extra, the 60-year-old actor explained, “There’s a version of [John Wick] in Ballerina, where he makes a brief appearance. Beyond that, I really have no idea.”
When asked if he was interested in reprising the role, the Matrix star was candid: “You know, the character’s dead. He died in John Wick: Chapter 4. I know, I know—it’s the Hollywood story. But right now, there isn’t [a plan to return].”
