KARACHI: The Supreme Court on Friday conducted another hearing of the Karachi Circular Railways (KCR) case.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed conducted the hearing in which the judge ordered to destroy all illegal constructions in Delhi, Punjab colony and PNT of Karachi.
The judge also questioned that who was allowing construction at a land allotted to federal government officials for quarters. The officials of Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) informed the presiding judge that the action had already been taken against the mentioned areas.
In the earlier hearing on Thursday, the judge held the Sindh government responsible and ordered to recover government lands in Karachi.
CJP Gulzar Ahmed indicated that the Supreme Court might send a contempt of court notice to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other officials of the provincial government if they fail to comply with a 2019 order of the supreme court regarding the circular railway system.
